The saw is mounted to it’s stand. There’s still more work to be done, electrical wiring to the automatic shutoff. A pump and tank for the cooling fluid. And a hydraulic cylinder to better control the cutting speed with thin material.
We have all the parts, but for now there’s other more pressing projects so we got the saw to functional and portable so it can be stored out of the way.
The metal top is sheet steel over a wooden shelf. It will be sealed with silicone rubber so when the cooling fluid drips onto it, it will go into the tank and not on the floor.

I always remember the hand saw with which we sawed wood in the village during my childhood. This saw makes life much easier when cutting metal!
